Friday October 16th in Ragnarok

On Tuesday of this week we have made a significant upgrade to our behind the scenes systems. But these changes began to cause some in-game difficulties with payments, point spending and at times logging into the games.

We do regret these problems and the inconveniences they have caused you all.
All the payments have been verified and completed through up until 3pm PST Thursday October 15. We haven`t answered the hundreds of payment emails as the payment team was 100% focused on fixing the known problems, which should deal with most of the contents of the emails.

We will be answering the emails starting on Monday, and also check and verify any successful stuck payments from after 3pm Thursday. If your payment history does not reflect the payment showing up, and you made the payment prior to 3pm Thursday then do email us again to be sure we see it. Please do check your bank statement; because many payments just "failed" so no actual money is kept for those and the withheld funds will be automatically restored to the bank account by the bank.

The kinks were extra.. well kinky.. but they are being worked out of the systems continually. We will likely continue to optimize through the next few weeks, which was planned for, but the majority of the problems should be worked out by next week.

Currently we are working specifically on the Premium server login processes, and in manually crediting all the glitched payments that have happened since Tuesday - Thursday.

Also after the brief maintenance on Premiums is completed at 5pm, we will begin to add the 3 day subscriptions to all accounts that have had premium access within the past 31 days. This is to both make up for some of the inconvenience of this week, and to allow those that can`t currently make a payment for subscription to be able to play through the weekend.

Right now, all servers have

125% Drops
150% EXP
and the Ice Titans repeatable quest event (and enhanced mobs there) is active.

We hope these things will help ease the headaches of this week and make the weekend as enjoyable as everyday should be in Ragnarok Online.

Special Maintenance 2pm October 15

We will be having a special maintenance at 2pm October 15 on all Game
servers to implement the last fixes on Valkyrie for the Item mall items

  • Box items made tradable
  • Blessing Scroll Box to give 20 instead of 10 scrolls.
Also on all servers the 125% drops will continue and 150% exp will be added.
Also just for fun, the Ice Titan quest event will be reimplemented for this weekend!


Valkyrie Wednesday login problems.

The login problems on Valkyrie are a known problem and are being given
the top priority for fixing by all teams here. The login server is intermittently
available, but then begins refusing connections. We will get this fixed ASAP,
but no timeline is currently available. It is Midnight PST 10/15 currently.
As soon as a timeline for normal availability is known we will let you
know on the forums and this patch notice.

We do apologize for this significant hindrance to your game enjoyment, we will get it fixed.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest

Get your knives and scrapers ready in what should be a fun and exciting chance to display both your creativity and love for Gravity Games!

Between 12:00 a.m. PDT on October 15 and 6:00 p.m. PDT on October 29, we will be accepting submissions for the pumpkin contest. The carver who submits the most original and outstanding photo will have their work displayed on iro.ragnarokonline.com , roseonlinegame.com, playrequiem.com, and blog.gravityus.com. In addition the craftiest of crafters will be able to win Prizes kindly provided by our affiliate Playspan

Tuesday October 13 Maintenance change

On Tuesday, October 13, the maintenance time is being changed to be 6am - 2pm PST.

This change is to allow proper time in updating several back end systems to allow
us to better provide both security and functionality to our players. Most of these changes
are to set up an infrastructure that allows us to better grow the functionality, fun, and
security in the upcoming months and years. We are thankful for your understanding
during this extended maintenance period.
